I. Conservatismus Calvinisticus.

 

1. Primi coloni generatim erant presbyteriani rigidi; deinde post periodum minoris fervoris factus est "revival."

 

2. Jonathan Edwards (1703-1758) Revivalist, philosophus, metaphysicus, et apologeta: recte celebratur ut princeps theologorum in America. Quamvis alium scopum habuerit nullum quam orthodoxiam calvinisticam defendere, de facto tamen ortum dedit scolae [ed: sic] quae varie "Edwardian School" "New England Theology" nominatur: discipuli enim quasdam magistri ideas ad extremas conclusiones evolvendo, veterem calvinismum mutaverunt, at quisque secondum suum sensum.
