Description:
Access version, 478, from tape, TC 477 AB. Questions and answers following a lecture delivered at the twenty-third annual convention of the Catholic Society of America, Washington DC, June 17-20, 1968 (47700A0E060). Sponsored by Fr. Rénal Dufour. The lecture in CD/mp3 477 was followed by a question-and-answer session. Questions had to do with verification, the possibility of a purely natural act in the context of Rahner's supernatural existential, the distinction of a finite transcendence (e.g., Heidegger) and the type of transcendence that Lonergan is claiming, the two types of 'object' mentioned in Lonergan's lecture, the question of just what is natural in natural knowledge of God, the place of natural theology vis-à-vis theology, and the role of the 'world' in raising questions.
